Defne Yalman is a Gender Studies Research Master student at Utrecht University, the student assistant of the programme, a board member at LOVA and a committee member at Movies That Matter. Her research focuses on cinema, politics of representation, social movements and sociology of emotions with an intersectional feminist approach. Her current project is investigating the link between friendships and solidarities through cinematic representation.

 

 

 

Jülide Sezer is a Gender Studies Research Master student at Utrecht University and is a board member of the editorial team of Junctions: Graduate Journal of the Humanities. As a becoming posthuman feminist, she is influenced by Spinoza and tries to live affirmatively. She believes in the transformative power of difference, love, and darkness. Nowadays, her thinking body is occupied by questions concerning care, death, and grief.
